Peindre un paysage, c’est retranscrire le plaisir du spectacle. Venise est un sujet merveilleux et les professeurs de Painting Venice s’engagent à vous transmettre les recettes élémentaires pour réaliser votre tableau grâce à une méthode mise au point depuis de nombreuses années, issue de la tradition vénitienne. Ces workshops explorent les différentes phases d’approche d’une peinture à l’huile ou à l’aquarelle, en plein air, d’abord par la ligne vivante d’un dessin, ensuite par l’acquisition d’une compréhension de la couleur de l’ambiance. Nous aborderons le thème de l’harmonie des couleurs entre elles et vous découvrirez que la lumière est une couleur! Nous travaillerons aussi la notion de l’ombre dans sa liaison avec la forme et la lumière ainsi que la comparaison des tons entre eux. Les participants acquerront une compréhension suffisante de la couleur et de sa gamme chromatique–aspect fondamental de la peinture de paysage–et entreprendront une analyse des effets de la lumière changeante pour obtenir des vibrations colorées, l’essence même de Venise.

Pour les participants qui choisiront l’aquarelle, les modalités relatives à cette technique seront prises en compte. Nous expliquerons comment monter les valeurs comme dans un dessin et nous traiterons des passages de couleurs, de la graduation des touches superposées et des caractéristiques de l’épargne.

Pour ce qui est du dessin, nous proposerons la technique du fusain qui permet de réaliser des effets de dégradés par l’usage de cette matière. De plus, nous veillerons à l’acquisition des notions de base en matière de perspective permettant la représentation en trois dimensions du paysage.

Les professeurs sont tous des vénitiens d’adoption; ils habitent la ville depuis des années et ont une connaissance parfaite de la Venise typique et des endroits tranquilles et picturaux qui permettent la concentration. Ayant peint de nombreuses peintures en plein air, ils détiennent un large répertoire des endroits propices à l’inspiration afin de vous guider et de vous accompagner dans votre travail.

Au début du workshop, une carte indiquant les différents emplacements choisis pour leurs vues appropriées vous sera remise et nous pourrons développer les différentes phases de la peinture de paysage, variant de l’espace ouvert avec vue sur le Grand Canal aux canaux étroits des quartiers plus populaires.

Les cours débuteront à 10h à Santa Croce,au centre du campo San Giacomo dell’Orio, au pied de la colonne rouge. En général, toutes les leçons se dérouleront près d’un magasin de fournitures artistiques  où vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin, s’il vous manque des articles. Quelques sièges pliants et chevalets de campagne seront également à votre disposition si vous le désirez.

Nous pouvons vous fournir le matériel de peinture pour le prix de 150€ pour le workshop de 5 jours, et de 120€ pour le workshop du weekend, le matériel reste en votre possession, bien sur.
Les cours finiront à 16h pour vous laisser le temps de visiter les musées qui ferment entre 18h et 19h15 (voir la FAQ).

Les workshops durent 2 ou 5 jours:

-Le weekend: samedi 10/13h et dimanche 10/16h, pour un total de 8h. Une pause déjeuner est prévue au environ de 13h pour le dimanche.

–La semaine: du lundi au vendredi 10/14h, pour un total de 20h.

Les participants de tous les niveaux sont les bienvenus.

Les repas:

La pause déjeuner d’une heure est libre et à vos frais. Nous nous trouverons toujours près d’un café servant des sandwichs, des boissons fraîches, etc. Toutefois, chacun est libre d’apporter son propre déjeuner.
